hiyaaaaaaa
Sorry i havent bogged much lately, i have actually been really busy with school work, work exp and actual work, so have alot to say.
Firstly, i went to the NEC in birmingham last thursday to get 'a day in the life of a national event planner'. I was picked up by the guy who owns a cmpany displaying at the exhibition, Martin, and his college Ellie. unfortunately I had seen Ellie in his car from my upstairs window before they rang the door bell and therefore before i realised who she was and gave her a dirty look, as for some reason, thats the sort of thing i do t people who look at me... hmm, that didnt sound so ridiculous in my head.
So we were given a guided tour of the show by the organisers and i managed to ask all my carefully scripted (i dont trust my brain under pessure) questions. I then spent the rest of the day sat in the bar with Martin, Ellie and the two organisers. those three hours i spent stting in the bar sipping coke and lime definately confimed that i want to be events organiser.
Luckily for me, i have also found the perfect uni for me. Lincoln! i want to go there so badly! its so pretty and next to a river, very picturesque! Another great thing thats brill about it is that they dont interview, which is perfect for me as at my mock interview which the school organised i was put on the spot and asked what i thought events management involved. As someone who wants to study course in this it should have been a relitively easy question, but my answer was something like 'managing events' DUH?!
The weekend just gone was pretty boring, i spent more hours which i was awake working than not working. However this weekend should make up fr it as on friday its the school commemeration service at te SCD curch in london. i think im in the minority of the school who actually enjoys it. i just think its so nice, its cute and its christmassy. not gunna lie, but i love it. even if we're not singing shine jesus shine and jerusalem, which are cearly the best two hymns. due to commem, we then have monday off school, dunno why but im not complaining, so sunday night is our sixth form social. having been kicked out last year for being far to drunk and having to have my parents come and pick me up, and then being sick in my bed, im quite looking forward to proving im not a constant drunken state. plus its a party, so why wouldnt i be excited! and i have bought my self some amaaaaazing shoes for it!
Currently im on a train heading up to london, which is why my punctuation and grammar is shocking as mobile blogger doesnt have spell ceck. im actually off to meet doctor who at event which my dad is involved with. i have called it 'work experience' and skipped school. nothing to do with te celebs there...
So thats a brief summary of my life the last few weeks, i'll blog more frequently soon promise! :)
ps, sorry for lack of photos, lots more comming soon :)

whatta load of b*llocks
Life has been pretty boring lately. I feel I need something interesting to happen, or to dye my hair green to excite me a little bit. Well maybe dying my hair green is slightly over the top but I’m just so bored at the moment. Yesterday I event tackled the time consuming challenge of brushing my hair to fill time. Due to it being long, think, knotty, dead and naturally curly I don’t bother brushing to much as it hurts, takes agessssssssss and all falls out. So I tend to leave the pain and hair loss unless it really needs it or it’s a special occasion. That makes me sound like such a trap saying I only brush my hair for special occasions, but unfortunately it’s the truth. So yesterday, it took me a whole 13 minutes to brush it. I then showered and blow dried it straight and it’s looking pretty healthy. I also decided to sort out the road kill which sit above my eyes. My eyebrows are also massive and thick. So can occasionally be mistaken as caterpillars when they are at their worst. Having tamed my eye brows back into their cage and with lovely straight hair I also decided to re-do my nails. This time ive gone for zebra print. For this I used my really professional tool (NOT) of liquid eyeliner. They came out well and I’m a massive fan of the old eye liner trick…that much of a fan that a WAH Nail Art Pen in black is the first thing on my Christmas list…

For once, my exercise regime and diet is actually going pretty well. I think this is mainly because there is no food in the house and because Danni has now joined the gym with me and Rachel, which makes me feel as though I have two people to prove to that I am not a massive unfit slob… So today I went to a ‘Pure Abs’ class. Basically half an hour of putting my abs through something that trust me, they have never experienced in their life. Going into the class I was pretty positive having just burnt 200 calories on the cross-trainer, however this quickly changed when I realised that another member of the class was a boy which I unfortunately used as my ‘target’ and spent the whole night trying to get with at a party a while ago. I couldn’t even blame my behaviour on being drunk as it was a sixteenth and my friends and I weren’t bad man enough to drink when we were 15/16. I had never worried about it before because I didn’t really know the guy and didn’t think I’d ever have to see him again. But the world works in cruel cruel ways and there I was standing red faced and sweating like a bitch which is even worse considering we hadn’t done anything in the class yet so it just looked like I had really struggled walking from the changing rooms the studio, which is about 2 metres. Thank god the class was only half an hour or I might have died from embarrassment…or from exhaustion.
Things that have happened in my life recently-ish include the first of a long line (4...) 18th birthday parties. Despite a few unfortunate events, like me being tongue raped and temporarily acquiring a stalker, it was a brilliant night and I really enjoyed myself. Throughout the night I was totally convinced I wasn’t that drunk, and I think it was only when we got back to Lizzy’s, who's party it was, and I flushed a slice of cake down the toilet that I realised I was very drunk. Anyone who knows me knows I don’t ever waste food!

Another pretty exciting event was going to see Britney Spears in concert. My uncle offered me a free ticket which he had got through work, to go and see her with him and my cousin. I think that she is one of the people who you have to see in concert before you die as she is so iconic. So now I can die content, hopefully that won’t happen though, unless I just jinxed it… She was absolutely incredible! She really knows how to put on a show and with the added bonus of not only being 20 meters away from her, we were also so close to her support act, Joe Jonas. Who, just for the record, is completely gorgeous!

This weekend I’m visiting Lincoln uni and working, so nothing very exciting. Hopefully something decent will happen soon or I might have no choice but to dye my locks green and end up looking like a lettuce…

Oh I do like to be beside the seasideeeee
So having not blogged in a while I feel I have loads to say. But I won’t bore you with all the rubbish stuff. I was on half term last week and so me and my family (minus my sis) went on a little holiday. We set off at about 9 o clock on Tuesday morning. Unfortunately for me, I’d had a pretty late night the night before due to being a Lizzy’s with the ‘gang’ and excessively playing Just Dance on the Wii. So on Tuesday morning I was dragged out of my bed, to go to Rye, a place I’d never even heard of before. I also wasn't overly keen as Dad had spent about 4 weeks going on about the hotel being haunted. When we got there, the hotel itself was actually really nice. We had a stroll (well Dad calls it a stroll, really it’s a four mile walk in the cold and rain) round the town and then went back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. We went to a restaurant called the grill and before we had even sat down Mum has smashed a glass with her bum and Alex had been rude to the waitress. Typical Hollis family really… After a lovely meal and a rather large amount of wine, I was ready to face my fear and sleep in the haunted hotel. Except obviously someone wanted me to stay awake as there was a massive thunder storm and I ended up sharing a bed with a 50 year old menopausal woman and a 13 boy who farts in his sleep. Brill…

Mum insisted that the 'holiday bear' replaced Sam in our car journey photo....
The next day we left Rye and headed up to Brighton for a couple of nights. We stayed in a hotel right on the front but unfortunately we got a view of the hotel car park instead of the sea. We did a bit of shopping, well I shopped and Mum paid as I currently have 18p in my bank account and 1p in my purse due to work changing our pay from weekly to monthly. She bought me a satchel from Ollie&Nic, some bits from Lush and some Calvin Klein PJ’s and undies. Day Two consisted of more shopping, a look round the Pavilion, a trip on Brighton's version of the London Eye and then a dash round the pier to get some photos for my photography coursework. This may have sounded like quite a simple straightforward task, but this is me we are talking about. Half way through the day I realised I had forgotten the batteries for my camera so realised that whilst the others went the cinema, me and mum would cut our shopping time short and take the 15minute walk back to the hotel to get them. Mum insisted that we just buy some instead until I told her I had also forgotten my camera so we’d have to go back anyway. We ran back in the rain as it was five past seven and we realised that the funfair closed at half seven and that’s what I needed the photos of. Once we got up to our room we realised that we in fact had the room key to my brother’s room, so I had to race down to reception to beg for another room key. The trainee on the desk looked a bit confused when I reeled off a story of batteries and the pier, but eventually gave me a spare key card. Racing back to the pier me and mum did the standard ‘fast walk’. Basically bend your knees, lean back slightly and you go so much faster. So having fast walked looking like penguins with a hot poker up our arse’s we finally made it on to the pier and got my photos.

The next day we went to Portsmouth to see Becca at uni. The previous two times I’ve been and visited her I’ve either projectile vomited on myself due to alcohol, or been kicked out a pub because I’m 17 and had no ID. However this time I managed to almost act mature and had a lovely time. We went out for dinner to a lovely Indian restaurant and due to slightly shoddy service got given two 20% off vouchers which were given to the poor student, like she’s going to be able to pay the other 80%... After a night of sharing a single bed with Becca, I just about managed to shove everything back in my suitcase and we went to meet the rest of the family who had the luxury of staying in a holiday inn and getting an all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast. We went up the Spinaker tower and had lunch in The Slug and Lettuce. After that we said goodbye and left Portsmouth, as I had to get back for Lizzy’s partyyyyyyy. Due to it being a bit of a rush to get back in time I decided to attempt to do my nails on the way home. However trying to paint your nails in a car that's going at 70mph down the motorway, sat next to my brother who had just farted made it a much more, shall I say, memorable experience...
